PES 2012 to have key new competitive feature!

Konami has announced today a new ‘companion project’ for its upcoming 2012 iteration of its long-running Pro-Evolution Soccer series. But announcing this project is pretty much all Konami has done, with details about as thin on the ground as police in a riot.

This much we can say: the companion piece is going to be called myPES, is being developed by argonauten G2 in conjunction with the PES team in Japan, and will, according to argonauten G2′s Unit Director Maik Hofmann, “open new frontiers to players of PES 2012 and how they play the game”.

Konami is saying it doesn’t intend to tell us anything else about myPES until the upcoming gamescom in Cologne, which kicks off on August 17th. Today’s announcement is a ‘teaser’, apparently. Which actually makes us feel a bit dirty for even reporting it. Oh well. No point deleting the post now, we guess…
